What is the difference

Great question. A lot of people think proposal and engagement are the same thing. But they are not.

  1. Proposals are usually secret. Usually, only the one proposing knows that it’s going to happen.  Proposals are really fun for me to capture. I love helping iron out all the small details of the special moment.  And when it all comes together with a big surprise, all emotions are running rampant.

2. Engagement shoots are when you two are already engaged. Here are some main reasons you would do an engagement shoot…

  • Announcing the engagement
  • Save-the-date cards
  • Practice for the wedding day

3. Elopements are now considered to be small intimate weddings without all of the traditions of a big traditional wedding.  These weddings are usually not more than a couple of hours with a small gathering of people, no more than 15 or 20.
